Early or partial results. Treat as a signal, not a conclusion.
This is an active recruitment record for a prospective surveillance cohort study designed to assess the incidence and frequency of disseminated tumor cells (DTCs) in women with primary breast cancer at elevated recurrence risk. No results are posted; the study is in the recruitment phase and outcomes have not yet been reported.
Interventional, Single Group, Open label, Screening purpose. Breast Cancer; age from 18 Years. Intervention: Screening Bone Marrow Aspirate. n = 600. 1 site: United States.

Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
This surveillance study is positioned as a screening tool to identify DTC-positive patients for potential enrolment into separate therapeutic trials; clinical utility depends entirely on results not yet reported and on the causal relationship between DTC presence and recurrence risk.
This is an active registry record for an ongoing prospective observational study with no results yet reported; it describes planned surveillance methodology without outcome data.

Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
What is missing. This record has no key findings. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT02732171). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Medicine. Recruitment status: RECRUITING. Phase: NA. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 600 participants (ESTIMATED). Conditions: Breast Cancer. Interventions: OTHER: Research Blood Collection. Primary outcome measures: Incidence and frequency of disseminated tumor cells , DTCs will be assessed annually up to 5 years from date of primary diagnosis. Brief summary: This is a single center, prospective cross-sectional study of women who have completed therapy for primary breast cancer within 5 years of diagnosis and are at increased risk for relapse. Patients will undergo screening bone marrow aspirate to test for presence of disseminated tumor cells (DTCs) Patients who harbor DTCs will be offered the opportunity for enrollment into a clinical trial of therapy targeting DTCs to prevent recurrence (separate protocols).
