This is the first molecular survey of enteric protozoa in cattle from Viana do Castelo, northern Portugal, detecting Blastocystis sp. as most frequent, with zoonotic subtypes ST3, ST10a, and ST14 present, and Giardia duodenalis at low prevalence.
