Phase 3 Trial.
No findings were extractable from the material analysed.
Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
The source did not state who this applies to in practice.
Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
This record has not been graded across any dimension yet. Treat the label above as provisional and read the source.
What is missing. This record has no bottom line, key findings, reported figures, evidence dimensions. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT07823608). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: Pfizer. Recruitment status: NOT_YET_RECRUITING. Phase: PHASE3. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 258 participants (ESTIMATED). Conditions: Apnea, Sleep Disorders, Overweight and/or Obesity. Interventions: DRUG: Berobenatide; OTHER: Placebo. Primary outcome measures: Change From Baseline in Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI) , baseline, Week 52. Brief summary: This study is being done to learn about the safety and effects of a study medicine called berobenatide (bear-oh-BEN-uh-tide). The study will see if berobenatide can help adults with breathing problems during sleep (obstructive sleep apnea \[OSA\]) and overweight or obesity who use a breathing machine (positive airway pressure \[PAP\] machine). People may be able to take part if they are adults with moderate to severe OSA, have overweight or obesity, and have been using PAP therapy before joining the study. Participants will be assigned by chance to receive either berobenatide or a placebo (a treatment that looks like the study medicine but contains no active medicine). The study treatment will be given as an injection under the skin approximately once a month. Participants will receive study treatment at study sites and may administer some doses at home after receiving training. During the study, participants will attend study visits, undergo sleep studies, complete questionnaires, and have health assessments performed. Researchers will compare the effects of berobenatide and placebo on sleep apnea, body weight, and other health measures.
