Obesity / Overweight / Chronic Weight Management · Phase 3 Trial
ClinicalTrials.gov · August 10, 2026
Early or partial results. Treat as a signal, not a conclusion.
This is a planned Phase 3 randomized controlled trial of aleniglipron versus placebo in adults with obesity or overweight and a weight-related comorbidity. The trial is actively recruiting and has not yet reported results; the registry record describes the protocol and planned endpoints only.

As stated by the source record.

Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
What is missing. This record has no key findings. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT07654361). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: Gasherbrum Bio, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Structure Therapeutics. Recruitment status: RECRUITING. Phase: PHASE3. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 3600 participants (ESTIMATED). Conditions: Obesity, Overweight, Chronic Weight Management. Interventions: DRUG: Aleniglipron; DRUG: Placebo. Primary outcome measures: Percent change in body weight from Baseline , Baseline and Week 76. Brief summary: Study GSBR-1290-12 is a Phase 3 pivotal, multicenter, global, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study to investigate the long-term efficacy, safety, and tolerability of 3 maintenance doses of aleniglipron once daily (QD) compared with placebo, when used in combination with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. All participants will be randomized to at least 76 weeks of treatment to evaluate the effects on long term body weight changes, tolerability, and safety. In addition, the study will compare the effects between aleniglipron and placebo on blood pressure (BP), lipid parameters, patient-reported outcomes.
