Interventional Study.
No findings were extractable from the material analysed.
Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
The source did not state who this applies to in practice.
Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
This record has not been graded across any dimension yet. Treat the label above as provisional and read the source.
What is missing. This record has no bottom line, key findings, reported figures, evidence dimensions. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT07922005). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Recruitment status: COMPLETED. Phase: NA. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 198 participants (ACTUAL). Conditions: Overweight , Obesity. Interventions: BEHAVIORAL: Structured Jogging Program; BEHAVIORAL: Habitual Physical Activity Recommendations; BEHAVIORAL: Structured Yoga Program; BEHAVIORAL: Genetic Risk-Adapted Dietary Counseling. Primary outcome measures: Percentage Reduction in Body Mass Index (BMI) From Baseline to Week 8 , Baseline and Week 8. Brief summary: The ACTION (Genotype-tAilored exerCise inTerventION) study investigated whether genetic information related to obesity susceptibility and endurance capacity could be used to inform personalized lifestyle interventions aimed at improving body mass index (BMI) and participation in physical activity programs. Adults with increased genetic susceptibility to obesity and low habitual physical activity were invited to participate in an eight-week lifestyle intervention combining dietary counseling with physical activity recommendations. The intervention initially compared structured jogging with recommendations to increase habitual physical activity. Following the evaluation of intervention completion, the exercise strategy was modified for a subsequent group of participants, incorporating a Genetic Endurance Score (GES) to guide allocation to jogging or yoga. The study evaluated changes in BMI and completion of the assigned exercise programs, exploring the feasibility of integrating genetic information into personalized lifestyle recommendations.
