Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
This record has not been graded across any dimension yet. Treat the label above as provisional and read the source.
What is missing. This record has no bottom line, key findings, reported figures, evidence dimensions. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT07847645). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: Universidad Autonoma de Baja California. Recruitment status: COMPLETED. Phase: NA. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 14 participants (ACTUAL). Conditions: Obesity Prevention, Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors. Interventions: BEHAVIORAL: Healthy lifestyle program; OTHER: Control group. Primary outcome measures: 1-Mile Run/Walk Test completition time (seconds) , Baseline, 4.5, 9 and 12 months; Estimated VO₂max (mL/kg/min) , Baseline, 4.5, 9, and 12 months; Moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) (minutes/day) , Baseline, 9 and 12 months; Sedentary time (minutes/day) , Baseline, 9, and 12 months. Brief summary: Childhood obesity affects 36.6% of children in Mexico and nearly 50% in Baja California. Traditional weight-centered interventions yield modest and unsustainable results. In contrast, improving cardiorespiratory fitness provides broad health benefits independently of weight loss. This quasi-experimental study assesses the feasibility and viability of Athletes for Life (AFL)-a community- and family-based behavioral program for parent-child dyads in Mexicali-comparing its overall impact against a control group.
