No findings were extractable from the material analysed.
Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
The source did not state who this applies to in practice.
Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
This record has not been graded across any dimension yet. Treat the label above as provisional and read the source.
What is missing. This record has no bottom line, key findings, reported figures, evidence dimensions. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT07890766). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: Sohag University. Recruitment status: NOT_YET_RECRUITING. Phase: NA. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 60 participants (ESTIMATED). Conditions: Fibroadenoma, Breast Fibroadenoma, Benign Breast Disease. Interventions: PROCEDURE: Ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablation; PROCEDURE: Conventional open surgical excision. Primary outcome measures: Overall Treatment Success Rate , 6 months post-procedure. Brief summary: The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare three different management strategies for benign breast fibroadenoma: conservative management with clinical and radiological follow-up (observation), ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablation (MWA), and conventional open surgical excision. Fibroadenoma is the most common benign solid breast tumor in young women. While conventional surgical excision provides complete tissue removal, it may result in visible surgical scars, breast volume loss, and contour deformity. Minimally invasive thermal techniques such as microwave ablation offer potential advantages in tissue preservation and cosmetic satisfaction under local anesthesia. This study aims to assess and compare the therapeutic success, safety, postoperative pain, recovery period, complication rates, and cosmetic outcomes among female patients undergoing these three approaches at Sohag University Hospital.
