ClinicalTrials.gov · August 10, 2026
Early or partial results. Treat as a signal, not a conclusion.
This is a completed registry record for a 2-year RCT testing multidomain lifestyle interventions (diet, exercise, cognitive training, vascular risk management) against self-guided control in 1212 older adults at risk of cognitive decline. No efficacy or safety outcomes are reported in this registry entry, precluding assessment of whether the intervention delayed cognitive decline.
Interventional, Randomized, Parallel, Single masking, Supportive Care purpose. Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer Disease, Vascular Cognitive Impairment, Dementia, Brain Diseases, Central Nervous System Diseases, Nervous System Diseases, Neu…; age from 60 Years; to 80 Years; accepts healthy volunteers. Intervention: Structured Lifestyle Intervention; Self-Guided Intervention. Compared with: Self-Guided Intervention. n = 1,212. 3 sites: Singapore.
Study enrolled 1212 participants in a 2-year RCT design Primary outcome: Global Cognition measured up to 2 years Recruitment completed; phase and results status not specified in registry record
Results are not posted in this registry record; efficacy and safety outcomes unknown
The source did not state who this applies to in practice.
This is a completed trial registry record with no results posted; the study design is sound (RCT, 2-year duration, adequate sample) but without reported outcomes, efficacy cannot be assessed.

Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT05007353). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: National University of Singapore. Recruitment status: COMPLETED. Phase: NA. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 1212 participants (ACTUAL). Conditions: Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer Disease, Vascular Cognitive Impairment, Dementia, Brain Diseases, Central Nervous System Diseases, Nervous System Diseases, Neurocognitive Disorders, Mental Disorders, Cognition Disorder. Interventions: BEHAVIORAL: Structured Lifestyle Intervention; BEHAVIORAL: Self-Guided Intervention. Primary outcome measures: Global Cognition , Up to 2 years. Brief summary: A study in Finland found that a multidomain intervention of physical activity, nutritional guidance, cognitive training, social activities and management of vascular risk factors slowed cognitive decline in healthy older adults at increased risk of cognitive decline. A 6-month pilot study was initiated in Singapore, which demonstrated the cultural feasibility and practicality of the FINGER interventions and a set of locally adapted interventions in an Asian population. The SINGER study is a 2-year randomized controlled trial that aims to test the efficacy and safety of these lifestyle changes, including diet and cardiovascular risk factor management, cognitive and physical exercises, in delaying cognitive decline in older adults at risk of dementia.
