No summary has been generated for this record yet. What follows is drawn from its source metadata only.
Journal article.
No findings were extractable from the material analysed.
Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
The source did not state who this applies to in practice.
Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
This record has not been graded across any dimension yet. Treat the label above as provisional and read the source.
What is missing. This record has no bottom line, key findings, reported figures, evidence dimensions. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Smart scaffolds have appeared as an advanced category or class of biomaterial-based platforms' is for controlled and main targeted drug delivery because of their ability to provide structural support, local therapeutic release, stimuli responsive behaviour all together.Conventional drug delivery systems suffer from low or poor targeting efficiency, fast drug degradation, low bioavailability, system toxicity, necessary for the development of intelligent or smart delivery platforms which are capable of precise therapeutic modulation. In recent years, there have been advancements in biomaterials, nanotechnology, and tissue engineering. The widespread awareness in this field has led to the rise of smart scaffold technologies which further enhances the healthcare systems, particularly wound healing, cancer therapy and regenerative medicine. This analysis presents a comprehensive overview of recent developments in smart scaffold based drug delivery systems, including material and fabrication technologies.Main emphasis is placed on the application. These applications are in cancer therapy, wound healing, bone tissue engineering, neural regeneration, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory treatment.Further highlights are the advancements in the multi-functional and bioinspired scaffold systems which integrate growth factors, nanoparticles and responsive biomolecules. In addition to all this, a bibliometric analysis was also performed to identify current research trends in the field from 2016-2026 by using publications recovered from Scopus and imagined using Bibliometrix to recognise publication trends, major research themes, powerful keywords, and appearing technological directions in the field. The findings of this bibliometric study reveal the faster growing interest in research like hydrogel-based systems, 3D Bioprinting, nanocomposites, scaffolds and responsive drug delivery platforms.
