Interventional Study.
No findings were extractable from the material analysed.
Safety was not reported in the material analysed. Check the source before drawing any conclusion about harm.
The source did not state who this applies to in practice.
Graded across the dimensions that decide whether you should act, each from what the source actually supports. There is no single score, and where a dimension was not assessed it says so.
This record has not been graded across any dimension yet. Treat the label above as provisional and read the source.
What is missing. This record has no bottom line, key findings, reported figures, evidence dimensions. That is a gap in the analysis, not a judgement about the study.
Registry record from ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT05834803). This is a study registration, not published results. Lead sponsor: University of Aarhus. Recruitment status: RECRUITING. Phase: NA. Study type: INTERVENTIONAL. Enrollment: 80 participants (ESTIMATED). Conditions: Renovascular Hypertension, Renovascular Hypertension With Renal Failure, Heart Failure, Renal Artery Stenosis Atherosclerotic. Interventions: DRUG: Optimal medical therapy (OMT); DIAGNOSTIC_TEST: Catheter-based angiography; DIAGNOSTIC_TEST: Measurement of translesional pressure gradients; PROCEDURE: Renal artery stenting; PROCEDURE: Sham (No Treatment). Primary outcome measures: Change in 24-hour ambulatory systolic blood pressure , Baseline and 6 months. Brief summary: The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate whether percutaneous transluminal renal angioplasty (PTRA) with stent placement of atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis is beneficial in high-risk patients selected according to the criteria used in the DAN-PTRAI study. The main questions the trial aims to answer are whether renal artery stenting in addition to optimal medical therapy, compared with a sham procedure and optimal medical therapy, has beneficial effects on: * Blood pressure (primary outcome: 24-hour ambulatory systolic blood pressure at 6 months) * Kidney function * Hospitalizations for heart failure
