Wildlife conservation medicine increasingly requires multimodal, field-adapted, ethically defensible, and cost-sensitive therapeutic frameworks capable of addressing infectious disease risk, translocation stress, traumatic injury, captivity-associated maladaptation, chronic debility, and rehabilitation failure in free-ranging and rescued fauna. Within this context, veterinary homeopathy has occasionally been applied as a supportive integrative modality in zoological, exotic, and wildlife-oriented practice; however, its role remains under-described in the Indian conservation medicine literature. This narrative review critically examines the potential supportive role of homeopathy in Indian wildlife health management, focusing on common and conservation-relevant disease clusters including canine distemper virus, rabies, tuberculosis, hemorrhagic septicemia, anthrax, salmonellosis, mange, gastrointestinal parasitism, coccidiosis, babesiosis, trypanosomiasis, traumatic soft tissue injury, wound sepsis, capture myopathy, transport stress, anorexia, dehydration-associated debility, and behavioral dysregulation in rescued or captive wildlife. The review synthesizes classical homeopathic materia medica, repertorial indications, veterinary texts, and selected international case reports/series involving zoo, exotic, and wildlife species to propose a cautious, clinically rationalized framework for adjunctive use of remedies such as Arnica montana, Aconitum napellus, Belladonna, Rhus toxicodendron, Hypericum perforatum, Calendula officinalis, Arsenicum album, Nux vomica, China officinalis, Pyrogenium, Mercurius solubilis, Hepar sulphuris, Thuja occidentalis, sulfur, and selected nosodes (e.g., Tuberculinum, Influenzinum, Lyssinum, and Distemperinum where used by practitioners). Importantly, this review does not advocate replacement of evidence-based veterinary diagnostics, vaccination, quarantine, antimicrobial therapy, antiprotozoals, antiparasitics, analgesia, fluid therapy, or public-health control. Rather, homeopathy is positioned as a complementary supportive system for convalescence, stress modulation, behavioral stabilization, wound recovery, and individualized chronic case management within an integrative wildlife conservation medicine model. The article identifies major evidence gaps and outlines future priorities for ethical, prospective, species-specific veterinary research.
